Resistance Tubes
Resistance tubes are a great alternative to joining a gym. They are inexpensive and can provide the same range of motion resistance exercise routines that free weights or machines do.

I have been training using resistance tubes as a gym replacement for the last year and have gained 15 lbs of muscle, so my initial worries of not being able to build muscle have been quickly destroyed. I don’t have a treadmill or an exercise bike at home, so I make use of the fabulous weather here in las vegas and I go for runs every morning – that covers me for cardio, but when it rains I just bump my repetitions up and lower my resistance on the tubes and I’m able to get some high intensity alternative cardio training in! Works just as well.

Do resistance tubes work? Can you build muscle using them?
Absolutely yes and yes! As long as you are putting tension on your muscles; and they are hitting a failure point where you cannot lift any more (or do any more reps) then yes! They are building muscle. With resistance tubes you can stack them to achieve varying levels of tension/resistance. I have a set at home with up to 300 lbs of resistance – this is plenty!
Are resistance tubes better or worse than free weights? Can I really not go to the gym?
Does your muscle have eyes? No. It doesn’t know what you’re lifting. It has no conscious that decides whether or not to build muscle based on what you’re lifting. The simple answer is yes, you can ditch the gym. You can achieve all the same sort of workouts using resistance tubes. The only limit is your imagination.
